Perfectly Imperfect.

The aesthetic of the broken, the imperfect, the used and the odd has become more and more important over the past seasons across the fashion industry. All over society and in all aspects of life, the filtered reality of screens has become obsolete and consumers are looking towards more authentic visuals and an experience that feels real. For fashion, this has meant: celebrating the individual and turning away from the uniform. From more inclusive beauty standards to thrifted garments, the face of fashion has changed. Currently grunge is taking over and reviving a 90s moment of stylish non-fashion, with that the distressed look has returned. Especially promising on knitwear, sweaters, cardigans and even dresses are purposefully destroyed. The beauty of fragility is enhanced by this imperfect look and allows glimpses at the body, layers of clothing and on a more abstract level a look at the soul and identity of the wearer: flawed but authentic.
