Print Trend: Bauhaus Geometrics

Looking back to look forward.

Hypergeometrics have been on the trend radar for some seasons now. Especially with increasing interests in past design, such as the 60s and 70S, the boom of geometric print design has been in full swing this season. Across instagram checkerboard has dominated this seasons after it had boosted on the previous runway shows with an increase of  31% on FW21 and +13% on SS22 runways. The searches for the print have also intensified and grown by +50% this summer. But where to go from here? The first signs are becoming visible. After the trend curve for repetitive and micro geometrics has recently spiked and will flatten out, the rise of a new look is on Livetrend’s radar. With the interest in midcentury design, Bauhaus-inspired patterns have already been predicted by Livetrend for the next seasons and the current SS22 shows as well as fashionable niche brand drops are confirming this prognosis. If you want to leverage on the power of geometrics for a bit longer, make sure to consider those print designs and infuse your assortments with an intellectual design twist.
