However, the trend is aiming to combat the limitations and stereotypes of what a ballerina should look like with a focus on inclusivity and body positivity in its interpretations. The look is all about making women feel delicate and beautiful, while being comfortable and cozy. Balletcore is inspired by performance costumes and rehearsal attire of dancers and impacted by the colors, fabrics, textures and details found in their wardrobe:  Pastel tones, neutrals and grey, tulle, jersey, wool and nylon all fuse into a medley of youthful and feminine design. Certainly, the hype around Miu Miu’s ballet flats is contributing to the expansion of the trend and maintaining its stylish focus for upcoming seasons.
