References to trash-deemed classics will become more explicit. The night rider theme is celebrating all of those racing-game, music video themes with a seductively digital touch. Design will focus on revealing and hedonistic silhouettes to make bold and anti-conformist statements. The radical liberation of sexuality is combined with a more subcultural and streetwear edge. Leather meets sheer, metal details meet rhinestone embellishments and novel darks meets digital neons. Playing with contrast and questioning good taste translates this story.

Trend Direction: Dreamlands

« A cyber-pastel phantasy » The dream for romantic escapism and the desire for feminine gentleness is adding a poetic tone to SS23. Instead of classic nostalgia, this design direction evolves the romance theme in the metaverse: including digitally altered spaces to augment historic phantasy of extravagance. Consequently, maximalist design turns dives into a cotton-candy meta world. Extraterrestrial gloss and digital coloring meet romantic essentials like floral patterns, ruffles and lace. Juicy colors are crucial for the cohesion of the color palette, as well as the integration of embellishing metallics. Indulgent trims, like crystals and sequins enhance the phantasy festival spirit. A sense of estranged beauty begins to  infuse creativity and enables new identities to be explored.
