SS23 Men: Soft Accessories

An exiting return to the archives. For Summer 2023, designers are diving into the archives to rediscover accessories and headwear that provides us with a nostalgic touch and explores styles with new creativity. Soft accessories appear as the fusion of the organic and the fabricated now. Knotted scarfs and ties are referenced as elements of prep and dressiness but in a new, casual context. At the same time those two could not be more different. The scarf, evokes a gentle femininity, while the tie is emblematic for a corporate, masculine universe and strongly rooted in gender codes. Hats are opening up to retro shapes, like the western hat or Y2K visors or opt for utility looks from fisherman hats or buckets. The bucolic and outdoor sensibility of next summer has designers propose straw hats and crochet as a favored material that tell us stories of conscious craft and countryside charms.
