Lavender is yet another pastel that made an appearance in the spring/ summer 2019 trendy colours. Lilac is a bon-ton and delicate alternative that lends itself to countless variations: from the ideal man’s suit for the day at the office, to the iconic biker jacket, to the jean for leisure time, to the pullover perfectly matched with paper-bag trousers, to end up with hyper-feminine dresses for special occasions such as weddings or special events.

Lilac, wisteria, lavender, periwinkle and not only among the many shades of purple to choose from for this spring-summer 2019. More sober and feminine nuances than strong Ultra Violet, lilac gain +21% compared to fall winter 2018.
The fashion shows had already anticipated the trend, especially Balmain, Dries Van Noten, Blumarine, Del Pozo and Kate Spade. In general, the lilac items disseminated the fashion shows.
According to our analyses, 67% of the purple clothes were lilac in the SS19 shows and 50% for FW19-20.
When analyzing the premium collections, it is evident that lilac is a colour that is gaining in importance in the violet sphere, but its proportion reaches only 36%. The most popular pieces presented in lilac are dresses, t-shirts and jackets.
