Denim Division – Denim is experiencing a full 2000s ramp-up for the menswear market and dares to tap a bit deeper into iconic Millennium Styles. Strongly inspired by skate & rave culture, wide leg denim has witnessed a +110% increase in searches over the last year, while baggy fits even sore up by +170%. This new slouchy silhouette is adding volume and generates an even more relaxed feel than previous seasons. While cargo pants are maintaining their hype with a yearly growth in consumer interest of +170%, they explore more bulky patch-pockets, layered pockets and raver-like full-leg placements for next season. For the classic client and rather timeless jeans look, slightly cropped carrot fits are the essential, while the preppy flare is gaining momentum as well. The flare depicts a a new masculine sensibility and idea of sophistication, seeing +50% in yearly search rates.

For top-wear, the shirt is returning and celebrating a more enlarged and grungy look in order to hybridize as a layering shacket: +80% in searches here. The versatile product is ideal for fall and offers a larger canvas for the plenty of creative treatments or timeless clean finishes of the FW23 season. Next to the sleek trucker, that juxtaposes the baggy pant for a balanced look, a highlight for next season is certainly the cozy, cocooned jacket as well. It creates a rather slouchy and baggy volume, noting that hooded denim jackets have been a breakout topic online. From pop-overs to retro 80s denim jackets and subtle padded jean interpretations, jackets with gentle volume are certainly an important item for the upper part of the denim silhouette.

FW23 sees the denim category explore a variety of treatments: From collage-like embroideries and mini prints with community-driven topics to more eccentric punker finishes.
