Fashion Week: SS22 Serene Haven

SS22 is the season for recollection. On a quest for meaning, solace, inner balance  and a more spiritual relationship towards the planet, a series of balanced and calming silhouettes are presented on the most recent runways. With efforts to smoothen edges and establish maximal harmony, serene styles build upon fluid drapes, subtle cut-outs, soft necklines, twisted details and muted palettes. White and off-white color stories with subtle pigmentations or fades reflect on the purity of the desired retreat-like ambiance. The muted look offers a fresh take on minimalist core styles and its repetitive interpretation creates a uniformal healing character. Related garments generate a breathable, no-fuzz style that underlines the simple and clarifying mindset behind the concept. With brands increasing their repertoire of trans-seasonal core assortments, the trend manages to create a canvas for new elevated essentials that meet such new requirements, nourish the soul and incorporate long-lasting appeals. .

The Serene Haven Trend is linked to certain key items. As seen above a taste for more minimal styles, growing by +70% YOY, surfaces clean lines and muted palettes. Draped details were already strong before, yet they have increased by another +10% this year. The same continuous growth can be witnessed with cut outs, yet their index is much higher with +206% showing how important this trend is for next season. A new highlight piece is the tunic that has shown to grow by +60% and offers a healing ease of movement to its wearer.
