SS23 Men: Must-Haves

A youthful spin on menswear codes. Emerging designers and more established names proposed us with a distinct portion of leisure and full-blown experiences throughout men’s fashion month. Combining performance know-how,  craftsmanship and a sense of youthful playfulness, provided an inspiring vision of fashion’s future and the evolution of menswear. While undressing and nude torsos are a prominent styling choice across designers, garments proposed exciting silhouettes in contrast to those liberated bodies. The undeniable Y2K influence proposed an array of must-haves that draw strongly on the era’s skate and surf culture: baggy pants, cargos, tanks, truckers and boldly-printed bowling shirts. Even more leisure-focused, pajama styles, sets and knitted polos were prominent items across the runways. Not to forget, the new expression of menswear takes a turn towards shorter hemlines for shorts and a seemingly too-small, cropped silhouette for tops. Too small meets too baggy and the balanced new silhouette captures a contemporary and fresh silhouette.
