PreFall 21: Boosting Color Highlights

Making a Statement

Shaped by contradictory influences, the color and design landscape for FW21 demonstrates an exciting hybrid aesthetic with opposing ideals fusing together: individuality and collaboration, virtual and real, muted and boosting. On one hand, the collections have shifted towards a wide array of neutrals including black, brown, beige and off-white tones, which with their enduring appeal enable collections to maintain a more seasonless character.

However, there has been a solid increase of statement colors that dominate the collections and inherit them with a more individualistic feel. The turn towards eclectic color-palettes seems necessary regarding the high levels of frustrations and resentment that have hit a great number of people during this time of crisis. With colors’ effects on the psyche and overall well-being, the boosting colors of Pre-Fall 21 are taking their chance to lift the mood of an entire generation and ignite joy and new motivation.

Take a look at the must-have statement colors, which Livetrend technology has tracked for the Pre-Fall Collections and get ignited by their enchanting spark.

PreFall 21 manifests Positivity

While the global fallout from the events of 2020 were unexpected and harsh, the effects of time uncertainty, emotional overload and a yearning for brighter days will keep dominating the upcoming seasons. As we slowly evolve from this period of comfort-driven silhouettes, consumers will still expect ease-of-wear garments but new trends start to emerge and style updates are driven by the desire to feel dressed again. At the forefront the statement colors of the shows are light pink, bold orange, bright yellow as well as a new variation of acid green. Those statement colors work great for subtle color highlights and hues, but in bigger scales also guarantee a stand-out effect on-screen.

On the top left, you can find the index of growth from Prefall 20. Our analytic trend analysis, empowered by our technology, will make sure to deliver the best information you need to secure your relevance in the market. Make sure you understand that the lower growth index means that the trend is stable and safe for FW21, while a high growth index highlights an emerging, but certainly more edgy trend.
