Many of the spring/ summer 2019 print trends came from a mixed affinity for travel, leisure and wistfulness towards more bohemian times, with this encompassing an abundance of tie-dye, paisley, and silk scarf patterns.
The paisley pattern is associated with all kinds of exotic, far-off locals. Since wanderlust was a motif running through many of this season’s collection, paisley was a shoo-in for the spring/ summer 2019 pattern trends.
On the runaway, Chloé paisley style is the more contemporary, bringing exotic travel memories with perfect femininity. Premium brands translated this bohemian message in different ways but everyone’s got a paisley collection theme.
Claudie Pierlot developed it for the beginning of the season on tailoring weights and georgettes. Zadig & Voltaire has revisited the paisley in his own way on 12 pieces. Sandro inserted it for twill pieces in a half-season scarf style. Twin-set and Ikks have developed more summery cashmere themes. Zara and Mango continued all season to inject cashmere items.
